Footwerk is CADA’s club and dance music show, featuring the best from the club music scene – in Australia and across the globe. Represented each month by incredible music outlets on rotation, we’ve got Gold Fang from NLV Records bringing both futuristic sounds and dancehall party anthems; Munasib from Astral People showcasing the best club tunes from around the world; and Carolina Gasolina lighting it up, connecting us to the world of Latin music, reggaeton, baile funk and so much more. Get ready to party with Footwerk – Fridays from 8pm on CADA.

Gold Fang

                                                                         

 

Raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Gold Fang was born to perform. Flying the flag for the sounds of the Caribbean in Australian music, upon his arrival in Sydney, Fang quickly established himself in the community surrounding The Lansdowne’s Reggae Mondays via weekly performances, where he met frontman of The Delta Riggs and long-term collaborator, Elliott Hammond. This friendship provided Gold Fang with a foothold in the mainstream music community, allowing his natural talent, work ethic and unmatched charisma to be noticed. His versatility, unique story and unmistakable vocals are undeniable. Catch Gold Fang on rotation hosting CADA’s club show bringing both futuristic sounds and dancehall party anthems – Footwerk on Friday nights.

Carolina Gasolina  

                                                                         

 

Carolina De La Piedra is a Music Creative working in A&R for Elefant Traks as well as a DJ and Radio Host aka Carolina Gasolina. As a DJ, her sound weaves through hip hop, baile funk, reggaeton and club music. She has supported international artists such as RL Grime & Bauer on tour and played some of the nation’s most notable festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Laneway, Secret Garden, Vivid and Darwin Festival. She has also DJ’d for local Artists such as Jesswar, Mulalo and Becca Hatch. Munasib

pronunciation: Mu-naa-sib.

 

Showcasing the best club tunes from around the world, host of CADA’s club show Footwerk, Munasib is keeping company with burgeoning local talent and sharing stages with international superstars. The Australian-born, Bengali DJ marks a sea change in Australian dance culture, reflecting the plurality of the country’s multiculturalism with sets that easily include Bollywood beats like Vince Staples’ ‘Norf Norf.’  Based in Eora/Sydney, Munasib surrounds herself with good art and good curators, is a member of tastemakers Astral People, and emerging South Asian collective Kerfew. Combining baile funk with local hip hop, alte cruise with amapiano, and traditional Bengali music with experimental trap, Munasib has already taken the stage at Splendour in the Grass and Sydney Opera House this year alone.
