Behind some of the biggest names in the industry, you’ll find supremely talented homegrown beatmakers, putting Australia on the map.

Going beyond their backyard to the studios of the star-spangled states, these Aussie producers are ascending to new heights, with no plans to slow down.

Khaled Rohaim

He may be a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated producer, but Khaled’s international success all started from his home studio in Greenacre in Sydney’s southwest.

Since experimenting with instruments at the humble age of four, Khaled’s really cranked it up a notch. In 2021, he was welcomed into APRA AMCOS’s 1,000,000,000 List, recognising a billion streams of Rihanna’s “Needed Me”, on which he worked.

Beyond Rihanna, Khaled’s long list of big-name collaborations includes Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. He even took a 12-year-old The Kid Laroi under his wing, as both mentor and producer, helping him set the foundations for his chart-topping career.

FnZ

Behind some of hip-hop’s biggest drops, from At.Long.Last, A$AP to Donda 2, you’ll find Michael “Finatik” Mulé and Isaac “Zac” Deboni a.k.a. FnZ.

The Perth-raised, now Miami-based production duo left Australia’s west coast to brush shoulders with the heavy-hitters at the heart of the rap, Hip Hop and R&B scene.

Beyond A$AP Rocky and Kanye West, FnZ has created Grammy-award winning beats alongside the industry’s biggest names, including Denzel Curry, The Kid Laroi and Kid Cudi.

Keanu Beats

Werribee, the peaceful suburb set between Melbourne and Geelong, seems like the last place you’d find a Grammy-nominated music producer. But within these quiet suburbs is exactly where Keanu Beats made a name for himself.

From Migos to Octavian and Skepta, Keanu Beats hustled his way to the top of the rap elite, scoring himself a feature on Dreamville’s Revenge Of The Dreamers III, alongside J. Cole, KEY!, Maxo Kream and Zoink Gang.

Keanu Beats may give off that low-key vibe, but he’s sure to have big things in the works.
