Music is often a family affair! We all know about The Jonas Brothers (it’s in the name!), and of course, there’s Solange, Beyonce’s younger sister (who got her start as a backup dancer for Destiny’s Child).

But what about relatives in the world of Hip Hop? Well, here are 5 Hip Hop artists you probably didn’t know were related.

5) Warren G and Dr. Dre

Stepbrothers! Who’d of thought? The pair became bros when Dr. Dre’s mother married Warren G’s father. The combined family is comprised of eight children… hey, that’s almost enough kids to form a record label!

4) GZA, RZA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard

Three of the founding members of The Wu-Tang Clan were in fact cousins! The trio even formed a group before The Wu-Tang Clan, known as All In Together Now.

3) Ice Cube and Del The Funky Homosapien

The two are cousins, and Del even did a bit of writing for Cube, penning ‘A Gangsta’s Fairytale’ on Ice’s debut solo album, ‘AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted’.

2) Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg

It’s in the name! The late Nate was a cousin of Snoop, and the pair collaborated early on in Snoop’s career… they even formed a band together called 213!

1) Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem

Cousins! Musicians in their own right, they’ve also collaborated together, most pointedly on tracks, ‘Family Ties’ and ‘Range Brothers’. Kendrick is clearly a big fan of his younger cousin’s talents, recently tweeting that Keem is a ‘musical genius’ – That’s some pretty high praise from the rarely-tweeting K-Dot!
