Ever feel like we’re living in the future? Today is one of those days because Capital Records has just signed a virtual rapper to their studio, artificial intelligence known as FN Meka!
Meka might be virtual in nature, but he’s already getting some genuine collabs, having just released a track called ‘Florida Water’ featuring Gunna!
So, what’re his skills like? FN Meka uses artificial intelligence that analyzes popular music and then makes suggestions for lyrics and music. He was a major collaborator on ‘Flordia Water’, writing lyrics including:
“Tesla, Gucci, Cybertruck / I wreck that shit, don’t give a fuck.”

And it turns out that Capital has dropped FN Meka! Facing scrutiny for FN’s offensive lyrics as well as its reinforcing of negative stereotypes, Capital made this statement:
‘We offer our deepest apologies to the Black community for our insensitivity in signing this project without asking enough questions about equity and the creative process behind it.’
While we wait for FN’s comeback single, maybe he can crash on Gunna’s couch for a while…
