A lot of people have tattoos. But it takes a special kind of person to muster up the courage to get a face tattoo. And in the world of Hip Hop, head ink is becoming more and more popular. Heck, even Drake has one!
Here are five of our favourite artists who sport face tatts leading up to the undeniable GOAT!
5) Trippie Redd
When he was only fifteen, the ‘Love Scars’ artist got his first tattoo – the number ‘14’ right between the eyes! Redd says the tatt is a tribute to the neighbourhood where he grew up. It’s just one of many face tattoos Trippie has… he even has matching ink on his eyelids!
4) Gucci Mane
The Atlanta-based rapper is known for pushing boundaries with his music, and he was one of the first mainstream artists to get a face tattoo of an ice cream cone! It’s not the only tattoo on the artist’s face, but it’s undoubtedly the most eye-catching. As for the meaning? His representation had this explanation to offer:
’A reminder to fans of how he chooses to live his life. Cool as ice.’
3) Tekashi 69
The controversial rapper seems to have an affinity with the number 69 – not only is it tattooed on his body 200 times – he got it inked right between his eyes! It’s just one of many face tattoos the ‘Gooba’ artist has – he even has one of Jigsaw, the villain from Saw.

2) Lil Wayne

1) Post Malone
Of course, Postie was going to be in here! Known for ‘always’ and ‘tired’ elegantly tattooed under his eyes, The Mailman has more than a few ink doodles on his face. The tats include playing cards, a sword, barbed wire, a hammer, the words ‘stay away’, a bloody buzzsaw, a playboy bunny, and as if that wasn’t enough, he has tattoos on the inside of his nostrils! Guess he was starting to run out of room.
